Rehearsal Dinner Invitations
By now, everyone in the wedding party should have received an invitation to the rehearsal dinner to be held at Pazzo's. The rehearsal will be at St. John Cantius at 7:30pm on Friday 9/26. Don't be late! Immediately following the rehearsal, we'll be going straight to Pazzo's. If you have any questions or feel you have mistakenly not received an invitation, please let us know right away!
Rehearsal Dinner Venue Selection
After some initial disappointments in finding a rehearsal dinner location, we finally committed to a restaurant (not a moment too soon, eh?). The restaurant has three different locations, one of which was the location for my sister's wedding reception. The dinner will be at Pazzo's Cucina Italiana at the corner of Adams & Wacker looking out onto the Chicago River!
Of course I am looking forward to enjoying the evening with our families and our wedding party, as well as the great location, but I'd be lying if I wasn't also really looking forward to the food. Pasta station...here I come!

More Rehearsal Dinner Research
We got the initial proposal from the venue we were scouting out for the rehearsal dinner. Unfortunately, we were just a little surprised by some of the rental fees. While the location, food and atmostphere are all great, it might turn out to be a little pricier than we'd like. We're taking a look at a couple other places right now.
There might not be much movement on this, though, until next week. My mom and sisters are headed to Pennsylvania for a family reunion (Mary and I couldn't make it, unfortunately) and I'll be out on my bachelor party trip this weekend. Despite what some of my co-workers think, I'm sure we'll all make it back with no injuries ;)
Rehearsal Dinner Research
Although this happened last Monday, I'm trying to space out our posts a little bit. It seems as if there have been new developments every day over the last four or five days!
Anyway, last Monday, Mary and I met my Mom, my Uncle (who just happened to be in town from Texas), and my Sisters and their families for dinner. We met at a potential rehearsal dinner location downtown right on the river. The restaurant just recently opened part of their space for events, but they've been in business for a while. We first were turned on to them because my sister, Liz, is their Sysco Foods rep. So she knows a lot of people there, knows a lot of the internal workings of the restaurant, and also occasionally uses their space for an office :) While we're still in the investigation phase, this pre-existing relationship has proven to be very helpful!
Should my parents and Mary and I end up choosing this restaurant (and I think we will), I'll be sure to include more details. Stay tuned!
