Sorry for the delay
So, to start, it has been a while since I have posted a blog. To explain, my busy time at work kicked in immediately after our wedding, and I've been doing all I can to not neglect my husband and keep my head above the emails at work! In and amongst the work stuff, the settling into our condo, and just getting used to being married, Jack and I finally finalized our new blog. Hopefully we haven't delayed so long that we've lost all the people that visited this site, but it is finally ready to announce. Our new blog/website is www.windycityminsters.com.
It seemed to take us longer to come up with a domain name for this one. I will be honest that I thought of and liked this one from the get go, especially in keeping with the name we had for our wedding site, but we continued to think, debate, delay, etc, until we finally made a decision that we didn't like any of our options more than this one. After that, we had to pick a general design template and Jack had to make some adjustments from there (i.e. the picture, the font size, the colors, etc). The design and such are not final, but are at least in a place where we feel comfortable with people checking it out. I don't think that the site is quite complete, as I would imagine Jack has some ideas on other things he'd like to add, but for now, it's ready.
We appreciate all those that have stuck with us and have been waiting patiently for our new site. Although it is always nice to talk with all of our family and friends individually, it is fun for us to chronicle the big and little happenings in our life and share it with those we care about in this kind of a forum. Check out the new site, let us know what you think, and as always, feel free to leave comments on any of our posts.
Wedding Photos Almost Ready
Mary and I had been wondering when we were going to be able to see the proofs of our wedding photos. The teaser that our photographer posted over a month ago got us really excited, only to keep us wondering when we were going to see the rest! Finally I contacted them and was told it should only be a few more days now.
On a side note, I've got our new website up and running, but have a few minor changes to make before we send the link out to anyone. Look for that in the next few days....I promise!
Ok...we're getting there
So, the new blog isn't up yet, but I did want to address something. I've been asked a couple times what the "non-wedding items" are that are so exciting. Apparently, some people let their minds wander to the extreme. Let me be the second to say (Mary would be the first), that there is no reason to jump to any conclusions, our family isn't going to be getting bigger, there is no bun in the oven, etc.
So, if anyone was thinking that the aforementioned was the exciting news, sorry to disappoint. I thought that buying some cool new things for our condo (furniture, tv, etc), would be exciting enough. Maybe it's just more exciting for me. Whatever the case is, I just wanted to be very clear about that!
And yes...new blog still coming soon :)
A New Blog Coming Soon
Since Mary and I have gotten in the habit of reporting on things going on in our lives, we decided that we will continue to blog. This site will remain active for a bit as we finish up any wedding related activites (photos, thank yous, etc), and we'll post a URL to our new site when it's ready. We already have several non-wedding items that are pretty exciting, so stay tuned!!
